It’s obvious that Bayonetta 3 was announced way too early & development is taking far longer due to COVID-19. But that isn’t the only issue. The Bayonetta franchise suffers from lack of content. Bayo fans only have 2 games, an animated movie about the first game, dlc in Smash Bros, and that’s it. This is NOT to bash or shame ANYONE from Platinum Games or businesses related. Let’s be clear, the fans are grateful but starving!!! Bayonetta is the game that put Platinum Games on the map and the franchise as a whole has too much potential that many believe is being wasted. 

All that being said, we propose that Sega and Nintendo grant Hideki Kamiya permission to reach out to Netflix and create a Bayonetta anime series (hopefully 2 or 4 seasons long) with an original yet canonical storyline. This would allow him to produce a spin-off series as he has stated prior that he has many spin-off ideas. Sega will clear it and officials from PG will co-produce the project with an animation studio under Netflix. We also suggest that Mr. Kamiya hire a writing team, submit a script & list of his creative requirements, and oversee the process while developing Bayonetta 3. 

We understand that this is a lot to ask but creating a Bayonetta anime or any content at all would really make the wait for Bayonetta 3 more comfortable for fans and less stressful for developers. Also a novel series would be incredibly lucrative and equally beneficial. We personally suggest a Bayonetta Light Novel series if at all possible.
