Southport has many many bikers visit the town year after year but have no parking provisions all though its one of the biggest growing group of road users within the uk.

Sefton MBC have a duty to provide parking space which is secure and safe for use for when every pay and display bay is full and the only ones left are back streets.

parking in back streets and out of main areas causes a large theft and damage issue to bikes.

Currently sefton MBC are not considering motorbike as a road user that needs these services within its town centre.

we pay road tax and tax to the local sefton MBC so why do they not provide this service at a time when increased users are learning t ride due to covid.

This is so that when a pay and displays are full with there intended usage (cars) we have no alternative but to park where we can find leaving us open to tickets.

we are now requesting that a parking space within the town centre be developed within safe walking distance of shops and the site to be in a public area near lord st.
