I am a parent of children attending Hady Primary School, and like many others, I am deeply concerned about the security of the school's lower boundary.

Following a serious incident outside the school last week, it became clear that the current boundary, made up of pallets and temporary fencing, does not provide the level of security our children deserve. Thankfully, no one at the school was harmed, but the incident highlighted just how vulnerable the site could be.

This petition is not about blaming the school or its staff. They acted professionally throughout. We are simply asking those responsible for funding these improvements to make the safety of our children a priority.

We are calling on Chorus Trust and Derbyshire County Council to allocate funding for permanent, secure fencing and gates around the lower boundary of Hady Primary School.

Every child deserves to learn in a safe and secure environment. By investing in proper perimeter security now, we can provide greater peace of mind for pupils, parents and staff alike.
