Secure Justice for Aubreigh Wyatt and Enhance Mental Health Support
The Issue
I have personally grappled with mental health issues, making me impassioned about securing justice for Aubreigh Wyatt and others who have tragically lost their lives due to bullying and the lack of safe spaces in schools. Aubreigh's untimely death is not an isolated case; suicide has become the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, which is often associated with bullying (source: CDC, 2019).
Yet, the preventive measures and mental health support in schools appear grossly inadequate. The National Association of School Psychologists recommends a ratio of one psychologist to 500 students for comprehensive mental health services. However, this ratio is rarely met (source: National Association of School Psychologists, 2019). Our youths' lives hang in the balance due to systemic inaction.
We urge local and state education authorities to improve mental health services, enforce stricter anti-bullying policies and create secure spaces within schools. We call on legislators to enact laws that hold bullies accountable and to increase funding for mental health resources.
Aubreigh, and the countless others who have been victimized, deserve justice. It's high time that we, as a society, recognize the urgency of this issue and act accordingly. For Aubreigh, and for the well-being of children and young adults nationwide, your signature carries significant weight. Please help us make schools safer and demand justice for our lost ones. Sign the petition now. And help this beautiful baby girl get justice and help get the girls who drove aubreigh to her grave serious consequences and help heather and the Wyatt’s get justice for there friend sister daughter and classmate rest in peace and get her justice and every young soul that lost there life due to bullying and did not get justice
