Secure and Support Women of Sacramento

The Issue

We are seeking justice for Anna, a brave young woman who was sexually assaulted back in February 2024. This petition is not only deeply personal, but also necessary to address and end a horrifying act that disrupts the lives of so many women.

After the assault, Anna took courageous steps to secure evidence: seeking medical care, enduring a rape kit that confirmed the assault, and providing video footage. This documentation depicted the suspect awaiting the perfect moment to abduct her, further substantiating the calculated, predatory nature of his actions. Yet, despite this clear evidence, our justice system has failed to deliver the punishment and retribution that this crime warrants.

He remains a visible and protected figure in Midtown Sacramento. His reputation shields him, despite clear and credible evidence of his actions. Without accountability, he will harm again. That is not a possibility – it is a certainty.

This case underscores the need for stricter law enforcement and more stringent legal guidelines in Sacramento, where in 2019 alone, it was reported that over 1,277 rapes occurred (UCR Federal Bureau of Investigation). This statistic only showcases reported cases, leaving the unreported ones lurking in the shadows. Anna's story is tragically one of many in our community, but we believe her bravery can inspire change.

We implore those in positions of power - our lawmakers, legal system and societal influencers - to stand with us in demanding justice for Anna and preventing future injustice for all women. It is past time that we overhaul our current system to ensure no woman’s plea for justice goes unheard or unresolved. Each signature on this petition not only represents a call for justice for Anna, but also a commitment to protect our community's women from enduring similar experiences. Sign this petition today, let's make a difference.
