Currently, Josue Fernando Cervantes Castro (A#: 200.27.7397) in under the custody of ICE at Stewart Detention Center facing deportation and being denied bond. After a long day at work, Josue was heading back home, but was detained by Warner Robins city police officer. The reason that he was stopped was for having a “broken windshield”, Josue was unable to give a driver’s license and was detained.
Josue arrived in the United States at the age of eleven. He has no family in his country of birth and has always lived in the Georgia, he considers this state his home and is fighting to stay here. Josue has been in this country for fifteen years.
Josue has hopes of continuing his higher education. He graduated from high school in 2005, he was unable to continue higher education because of the high cost of higher education for undocumented students in the state of Georgia.
We, the undersigned duly asked that ICE exercises prosecutorial discretion in Josue's case and be allowed to remain in the United States according to the Morton Memo issued on June 17th. Jose Fernando Cervantes Castro is DREAM Act Eligible Student whom should be allowed to pay bond and release from the Custody of ICE at Stewart Detention Center.
