Secretary McMahon: Bring more AI tools into classrooms to prepare students for the future
The Issue
As a parent, I want my child to grow up ready—not left behind.
A recent NBC News poll shows 53% of Americans believe integrating AI tools in schools better prepares students for tomorrow’s world. But right now, students in many classrooms miss out, and teachers lack guidance.
We’re asking Secretary Linda McMahon and the U.S. Department of Education to lead a nationwide effort to:
- Develop clear, responsible AI guidelines for education—so teachers can use tools like ChatGPT Edu, Google Gemini, and AI-powered tutors safely and ethically.
- Fund equitable access to AI resources, ensuring all students—especially in underserved districts—benefit.
- Support teacher training on AI integration—so they can harness AI to enhance learning, not fuel cheating.
- Encourage AI literacy programs, teaching students how to use, question, and create with AI responsibly.
AI is reshaping our world. We need education policies that reflect that reality.
Please sign this if you believe every student—regardless of ZIP code—deserves the tools that will define their future.
