SEC Special Meeting to vote on removal of Nathaniel Ledbetter as party nominee

PETITION FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ALABAMA REPUBLICAN PARTY (ALGOP)
STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Pursuant to Article VII, Paragraph 2 of the ALGOP Bylaws
To: The Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party
Re: Petition for Special Meeting of the ALGOP State Executive Committee
Pursuant to Article VII, Paragraph 2 of the ALGOP Bylaws, the undersigned members of the ALGOP State
Executive Committee hereby submit this written petition requesting that the Chairman call and convene a
Special Meeting of the ALGOP State Executive Committee within thirty (30) days of the Chairman’s receipt
of this petition. A Special Meeting is required upon receipt of a written petition signed by fifty (50) members
(or seventy-five (75) members if the proposed bylaws amendment scheduled for March 7 is adopted and
becomes effective).
Certifications and Request
1. Membership / Good Standing: I am a duly qualified member of the ALGOP State Executive Committee,
and my dues are current (or I am otherwise in good standing as required by the Bylaws).
2. Request for Special Meeting: I request that the ALGOP Chairman call and hold a Special Meeting within
thirty (30) days of receipt of this petition.
3. Purpose / Scope: The purpose of the requested Special Meeting is to address and take any lawful and
appropriate action regarding party loyalty and nominee-qualification concerns that have arisen in
connection with the Republican nominee for Alabama House District 24, Nathaniel Ledbetter, including any
action authorized under applicable ALGOP rules and bylaws.
4. Conditional Withdrawal / Disposition (if applicable): If, during the 2026 Regular Session, an acceptable
Party Registration measure is passed by the legislature and becomes law, I agree this petition may be
treated as withdrawn, and the original petition pages may be retained or disposed of consistent with
customary record-handling practices.
