Free Sharks from captivity!

Free Sharks from captivity!
The Issue
Most species of sharks don’t do very well in captivity. Many of them end up dying within the year they are captured. Many experts believe that it is the high level intelligence that sharks have that makes it difficult for them to live in captivity. They usually have a high level of stress due to their new environment. They definitely realize they aren’t in their natural habitat. Migration patterns are another concern. Sharks that migrate may find it confusing and difficult to not have that ability. They may become aggressive at that point and many of them even refuse to eat.The larger that a shark can grow the less likely it will be able to survive in captivity. Even very small ones that you can buy at pet stores for aquariums don’t have a long life.
There are so many variables in their natural environment that haven’t been identified. Therefore it is impossible to duplicate. In addition, the shark does not have a hard bony skeletal structure to support their bodies. When out of water, some sharks may actually crush their own organs under the weight of their bodies. This needs to be taken into account during the movement of the animal from the ocean into the tank or stretcher. Once they arrive at the aquarium, there arises the third challenge of providing adequate and appropriate space for the shark to hunt and travel around. Again, there arises the issue of electromagnetic signals, and tanks need to be designed and created by concerned experts.
We have to stop sharks in captivity and we need everyone’s help to do it. Don’t capture new sharks from the ocean if they are not sick or injured. Let’s stop sharks suffering in Sea World, Monterey Bay aquarium, and Aquarium of the Pacific. We are losing a major part of our shark population by doing this. Human amusement won’t matter if sharks go extinct. The food chain might collapse and that could cause major issues to the rest of the food chain.
Some species may thrive, killing off the species they eat. Then other species would thrive killing off the species they eat. It would just wreck havoc on the world's oceans. We need our apex predators to keep the world in balance. So boycott aquariums that have sharks, stop school trips to the zoo, and spread the news. Tell your friends and family to stay away from shark holding aquariums. Sharks don’t want to hurt us, but we are hurting them. Let’s let the shark owners know we don’t want to see these sharks suffering. Save the sharks!
