Orkid the Orca was born in 1988 In Seaworld San Diego. Both of her parents died when she was only a year old. She was the first successful and oldest to date captive born orca. There were dozens of attempts to breed Orcas previously, but all baby orcas died. She was introduced to another orca when her mom was alive, but her mom tried to protect Orkid, and head butted the other whale. She then bled to death. Orkid has made other friends, but each of them have died due to a health problem, which was started at Seaworld. Orkid is forced to preform, and she has dragged trainers in the water and broken bones. Whales that are stress-free, and healthy, with enough space can live up to 100 years old! On a scale, humans are considered 7 in intelligence. Orcas and whales are a 5. Dogs are 2. Orca whales are extremely intelligent and can live for a long time in the wild. At Seaworld, they are stressed, unhealthy and stuck in tanks that would be the equivalent of your bathroom, compared to the whole world. Orca whales can swim for thousands of miles a day. 

These animals are almost programmed to do tricks. They need stimulation. When they are doing the shows, they are following the whole performance in their head by memory. When they are put back in the tanks, which are smaller than the show tank, they have nothing to do except for swim in circles. Or just float there mindlessly. 

Please help Orkid. She deserves to be released into a Seaside sanctuary, where the other pod members don’t die randomly or get sick.
