Losing a sports season may seem like no big deal to some people, but those who devote their time to countless hours of hard work and sweat, know that it is way more than just that. As athletes we have not only lost our chance to show fans what we have worked so hard for but we have also lost time with those we love and have missed out on other opportunities.

Taking away our dedicated fans will only make matters worse. Our fans are not just spectators they are what fuel us to work harder each and every day, they’re our support system after a hard game, and most importantly they are what brings our community together. 

We know that we must continue to do what will protect us and others from Covid, but we are stronger than what we think. There are many options and arrangements that can be done in order to have fans in attendance, and to participate in playoffs. These include the following; wearing a mask, social distancing (e.g. rearranging seating), being understanding of not allowing concessions, and most importantly agreeing to only come with 100% healthy well-being. 

Please reconsider having fans at games as it is something all athletes look forward to while playing.
