The Preservation and Strengthening of Inclusive Programs at Boise State University

The Issue

On July 9, 2019 Idaho State Representatives wrote a letter to new Boise State President, Dr. Marlene Tromp, suggesting she reconsider programs that promote diversity and inclusion. Representative Ehardt, quoted Governor Brad Little claiming programs that serve underrepresented students are contrary to "The Idaho way". This has become a critical issue for the Boise State students, faculty, and community who positively benefit from these programs.

We are asking for the Idaho representatives to rescind their letter, participate in programs that were heavily criticized in their letter, and support diversity and inclusion efforts going forward.
