The online safety bill will effect everyone in the UK , if this continues to go through and be implemented our right to free speech will be stripped away from us. If the online safety bill is implemented we will loose access to Whatsapp and other social media sites/messaging services and for us who struggle financially this could mean losing the ability to contact friends, family and other important people in our lives with the ban of end to end encription . We need to act now before it's fully implemented 

This bill might also strip away our rights for artistic expression via blocking apps and sites that allow artists to share their work and passions and would also suppress political expression as anything against the norm will be penalised and taken down under this new bill. 

I am certain that they will take this too far and excessive restriction isn't the way to protect children from online harms instead we need to educate kids about staying safe online and parental controls do exist for a reason and it's also not the governments job to control what adults see online either.  

The internet should also be a place where people are free to talk about private matters with people they trust especially around things like mental health issues that we won't want the government snooping in on.

The Online safety bill / Online harms bill has been passed as law this October but I intend to keep this petition running with hopes that The OSB (Online safety bill) will be revoked/scrapped before it's too late
