As you will be aware, the cases of corona virus in the UK has risen to over 2,000. Establishments such as resturaunts, sports clubs and now schools have been shut down. There is a constant worry within the majority of British school pupils over the exam situation. It is now unlikely that exams will be sat due to COVID-19. In my opinion, if exams are cancelled then every student who are sitting exams should be given an automatic pass on each exam which they are sitting, it is unfair to grade somebody based on their prelim result because there are many different personal reasons why people may not do well in prelims, such as family issues etc. The SQA need to take this into account because it is likely that students will perform significantly better in their exams than they do in their prelims, and now because of COVID-19 you will probably be unable to sit your final exam. The fair result of this would be to give every student who are sitting exams a pass on each exam which they are sitting. I fully respect that there will be many people who will disagree with me. However, it is not fair on pupils to base their final grade on prelim results. #powertothepupils
