Mandate for Referendum on Independence.

Mandate for Referendum on Independence.
The Issue
It has been said by Westminster politicians that the Scottish Government lack a mandate from the people for a second referendum. We now give the Scottish Government that mandate.
We, the undersigned, being of sound mind and judgement, do so without duress or coercion, to exercise our inalienable human right to fair democracy and fair representation.
A Union is derived from the consent of those governed; when that consent is withdrawn, that union becomes untenable and cannot be allowed to stand.
The people of Scotland seek to be a democratic and fair society based on tolerance and mutual respect for others. We seek to protect the weak, the sick and the vulnerable in society. This is an essential characteristic of our society and one which we expect our leaders to embrace and endorse.
We seek representation, not enforced power. The distinction being that our government serve at the behest of the Scottish people and that the people shall have the right, where that faith and trust is abused, to replace those representatives with alternatives of our choosing in a free and democratic referendum.
Indeed, the current system of Government which we are currently subjected to is neither democratic nor fair. Where a minority from one constituent nation may choose to impose government or political change on another constituent nation that has voted overwhelmingly against said change, may be construed as forced governance.
Recent events within this union of nations has once again highlighted the inadequacies of the Government of Westminster who cannot be trusted to act in a manner which truly represents the people of Scotland or its interests; far less the issues that affect them as a nation.
Despite our relentless endeavours to make our voice heard by democratic means, we have been surreptitiously denied that right, usurped by the very persons to whom we have directed our united dissatisfaction.
It is now clear that there are political differences between the constituent nations of the UK, that would be deemed substantial enough, to warrant a Referendum. We were assured that as members of the UK, our membership of the EU would be assured.
To this end, we seek a Referendum on Independence from the United Kingdom and give such a mandate to the Scottish Government to ensure the calling of such a poll.
