It has been a difficult few months since the last update. Stories concerning Dr Moore-Gilbert's health and wellbeing have emerged from Iran, some unverified, some denied, but it is the most recent that has proved the most troubling.
Over the weekend of 25-26th July Kylie was suddenly and unexpectedly moved from Evin prison to Qarchak prison in the desert outside Tehran.
Qarchak is described as "one of the worst women's prisons in the world" - overcrowded, lacking facilities, with poor food and a salty, almost undrinkable water supply. It is reportedly rife with Covid-19.
She has been housed with those convicted of common crimes, itself a contravention of Iran's own laws, in a hostile and dangerous environment.
In a desperate phone call from the prison Kylie said "I can't eat anything, I feel so very helpless...I am so depressed".
It is no exaggeration to say her health, and indeed her life are at very great risk.
Media attention around Dr Moore-Gilbert has increased following her move from Evin prison and recently a group of her academic friends and colleagues have started a high profile campaign on her behalf - find out more at www.freekylie.net or on Twitter @FreeKylieMG

The news reports have sparked a huge surge in signatories to the petition, but there is a lot more to do. Dr Moore-Gilbert must be returned to her family, or at the very least transferred to a place of safety where she has adequate food and water and her health can be monitored.
In recent days, following a consular visit by the Australian Ambassador media attention has quieted.
We cannot afford for this to happen.
The Governments of Australia and the UK must be pressured into urgent action on her behalf. Signing this petition is one gesture of support but there are other ways you can raise your voice for Dr Moore-Gilbert - www.freekylie.net has a range of actions you can take.
Now, more than ever before, we need to come together and shout on Kylie's behalf- tens of thousands of you have signed this petition. We need your voices and we need many, many more.
We cannot let Kylie Moore-Gilbert be abandoned and forgotten.
