I want to ban betting in Australia,

1-  Firstly, gambling can cause mental health problems like depression and anxiety, studies show that three out of four people with gambling problems are at risk of depression and anxiety. Various surveys have determined that around two million people, and for as many as 20 million citizens the habit seriously interferes with work and social life. How to know if you have a gambling problem? Signs or symptoms of a gambling problem consist of. One being preoccupied with gambling, such as constantly planning how to get more gambling money. Two needing to gamble with increased amounts of money to get the same thrill and three Trying to control, cut back or stop gambling, without success.

2-  Secondly, Gambling can be addictive and make you go broke, Australians bet more than $242 billion in 2017-18. Two. Hundred. Forty-Two. Billion. The previous year (16-17), this figure was $208 billion. Australians spend nearly $20 billion each year on gambling, and most is poured into the country's 200,000 poker machines. An estimated 7.9% or 1.39 million Australian adults had experienced one or more gambling-related problems in 2015.

3-  Finally, gambling can affect family’s and make them fall apart and become dysfunctional. Studies show over half of people with gambling problems (56%) report perpetrating physical violence against their children. People with problem gambling fathers were 11 to 14 times more likely to have gambling problems and people with problem gambling mothers were 7 to 11 times more likely to have gambling problems.
