Kevin Todd served the Apex community for the better part of thirty years. As a teacher and coach, he touched the lives of thousands of kids through his gentle kindness and fervent passion to help anyone and everyone. Quick to greet anyone with his trademark smile, Coach Todd's compassion knew no bounds. No matter how short of a time one had the pleasure to interact with him, his absolute positivity and encouragement left an imprint on everyone. Beyond his record of success and two state championships (one in both Men's and Women's soccer), he will be remembered for his compassion and generosity to the young men and women of Apex and beyond. Coach Todd unconditionally loved and supported this town, this community, and its kids. Renaming the Apex High School Athletics field in his honor will commemorate his legacy as a coach, mentor, educator, and friend to many as well as provide a space for his thousands of former players, students, and colleagues to remember and celebrate a beloved pillar of the Apex and high school soccer communities.
