Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sentara College of Health Sciences has cancelled the Commencement Exercises for the graduating class of May 2020. The college sent out an email to the students that they have now cancelled both our Pinning Ceremony and Graduation, but we will be able to do a "virtual commencement ceremony". 

As future nurses and healthcare workers, we completely understand the need for having to cancel the ceremony in May. That does not mean that we cannot postpone this prestigious event for a later date, so we all can celebrate our successes in person with family and friends. We have all worked so hard to get to where we are now, and we feel it is only right to have the proper ceremonial acts. 

On behalf of our graduating class, please help us in signing this petition to void the cancellation of our commencement ceremony, and instead move to postpone the Sentara College of Health Sciences Class of 2020's May Commencement Exercises to a later date in the Summer.
