This will impact the LGBTQ+ community by teaching all children at a young age that being part of this community is beautiful and special. If the children learn about it hopefully adults who grew up without these lessons will learn more about the community. Children nowadays follow thier idols and do everything they say beacuase being on their Iphones and Ipads is all they really know. Their idols are on most apps on a phone and if their idols are bad influences that will really effect the child. These idols could be homophobic and the children won't know any better because they won't have been taught about the LGBTQ+ communtiy in school. If this petition is successful and the lessons taught in all schools in the UK then hopefully the LGBTQ+ community can go out without being called awful names or being bullied inside school for who they want to date. I can't stress enough how much I want these lessons to be taught in schools at a young age where the child's mind is easy to influence and the mind can be packed with helpful facts instead of something their idol told them to say or be like.
