IXL is a website many schools around the world utilize for primarily math, as well as other subjects. While some teachers and parents may find IXL to be useful, students around the world are being overburdened with it. IXL is not an accurate source for math; some of the answers to their questions are actually incorrect. IXL created a scoring system called the "SmartScore." The SmartScore is a number that displays how you are doing on the IXL link. However, the SmartScore is extremely obnoxious because as you get questions correct, you receive a lower amount of points to add to your score. When you get one question wrong, you drop about 10-15 points. The majority of students despise this scoring system because it makes them more stressed. If this petition is successful, students around the world will feel relieved from the stress they experience as they use IXL. I believe that IXL should be banned because I am a student myself, and I feel a lot of stress whenever I use IXL. Please, sign this petition if you too believe that IXL should be banned around the world.
