Schools , a place for safety, for learning and familiar faces of friends and educators. As a parent walking in on voting day, I had an eerie feeling of all the strangers in and out of those doors that are usually locked, bathrooms beside each other of those strangers and our children and a place that no longer felt secure. Sure , we can continue this for 34 more years plus , but why? Wait for something that COULD happen when it could be avoided at all costs. There are many other less vulnerable safe spaces that could be utilized. Please take this into consideration.  If such place needs to be used in order to make voting more accessible to those with no transportation then it’s a day off for those kids!
