School sleepover

School sleepover
The Issue
Hello, My idea of school sleepovers would be a great and fun way of gathering. Yes there could be some down falls to this idea but there are good things too. Good things about this is there will be more joy in students and it is a fun thing to try. Down fall is that there could be a break out or worst. But I believe that this would be a great and fun experience for our students! A sleepover at your school is straightforward to organize and a surefire way to bring in the cash. people love it because they get to spend the night with their friends. Parents love it because they get to have a free night to spend how they want. It is of course vital to follow the schools child protection guidelines to the letter. Your School Sleepover should be advertised well in advance. All pupils wishing to take part should return a form signed by their parents or guardian. This form should also contain clear details of any allergies or medical conditions and parents contact numbers in case of emergencies. Sleeping Bags
Pyjamas
Dressing Gowns (or a jumper that can be worn over their PJ's), toothpaste and toothbrush Would be needed. The timetable and agenda for the evening will vary according to individual circumstances. Some schools will organise an evening meal and breakfast. At others this is not possible and so a simple bedtime drink is offered instead. Most schools have gym mats which are ideal as a base for everyone to sleep on. It is also not uncommon for children to bring in camping beds and inflatable mattresses. It is best to be strict about a time for lights out. OK there will inevitably be some mucking around and talking afterwards, but having some clear structure to the evening helps everyone. Actually children prefer nice clear guidelines.....and there needs to be a point when adult helpers can heave a sigh of relief and have a cuppa. Waking up in the morning together is just as much fun. A nice sizzling breakfast or perhaps croissants and jam with your friends is the perfect way to start the day.
