On November 28th 2019, a School of Visual Arts student was found stowing away a Turkey on campus. The turkey was bought by the student from a slaughterhouse with the intent of saving it, and promptly named "Tutu". She has since been rescued and currently resides at a bird sanctuary on the Upper West Side. Tutu will soon be moved to a lovely sanctuary farm where she will live out all her days.
