During quarantine and distance learning, most teachers have been assigning more homework to compensate for the shorter times students spend in class. As a current sophomore, I find that I have been spending more time working on homework than I did before distance learning. I know that teachers are working hard to try and adjust to distance learning, but when all of your teachers are assigning more work than ever, it gets hard to manage. I have many friends who have complained of staying up until 11 or 12 pm doing homework, only to have more assigned the next day. Many people I know have complained of being stressed from the workload they receive. Distance learning is hard for many people, and I know that teachers are trying their best to help all of their students, but assigning more work is not a good solution.
