Abington Middle School was once a Junior High hosting 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Since we've been converted to middle school we have lost simple things, like being allowed to roam the hallways without a security guard or not having to go to the ground floor when we are located around and on the 3rd floor because the bathrooms are 'out of order' and still have to be in class in under 6 minutes. The school has replaced a simple dance with a pep rally. I and other students have been or seen a pep rally in the area and we would not like something we have waited years for to just be replaced because "it's too much work." Because the 7th graders get to have their own dance?  We, and I speak for almost all the student at AMS to be able to have a school dance. We can change the name and our mascot but we don't need to change the celebration we have when we enter the high school. This is one of the things we wish to not change. We not only have or dreams crashed because we will have to wait until the school year ends next year but we also have our motivation for next year.
