The Mahopac/Carmel school district has been operating under its hybrid model since the beginning of 20/21 school year.  The plan was based around selected CDC guidelines.  After months of emails and conversations with administrators it is clear there is no path for further re opening.

This puts our children at a severe disadvantage in several ways.

-Inability to cover the full curriculum.

-The quality of our children's education is suffering with on 2 to 3 days of in class learning.

-The limited interaction with teachers and peers and social/emotional impairment.

We urge the district to finish the re-opening efforts in partnership with parents. We simple don't have the required tools or guidance to adequately supplement/support classroom instruction.

Please support this by signing the petition: urging Mahopac/carmel school district to fully re open 5 days per week if in class learning.

Other districts and private schools are proving this can work.

The parents/caretakers of these children are suffering as well, emotionally and financially.
