Hats are banned from school because they are supposedly a distraction. Anything could be a distraction like  a kids watch beeping, light up shoes or anything. Schools, teachers, and, staff should allow students to wear hats in the building during and after school hours. Kids would very much appreciate getting to wear hats in school. School staff just have to set the obvious ground rules for example  School appropriate hats, no taking others hats, don’t make a distraction. Students like wearing hats because maybe they have a haircut they don’t like so they can cover up there hair and feel better and safe because school is suppose to be a happy and safe environment right? Some kids have hats from relatives or people  that meant something to them which makes the hat important to them.Hats could possibly make students feel happier by getting compliments on there hat and just being able to simply wear a hat in school.
