As you may already be aware virtual Wednesdays are an agreed upon least favorite day. Many students feel that these days are difficult to get through, as well as difficult to handle. Students and teachers are left staring at their computers all day with no break and often little time for independent work. While these virtual confrence days will be helpful in allowing us to touch base with teachers in a fully remote learning style, having them everyday will decrease engagement in learning. A more effective idea would be to host two days of virtual confrences a week separated by online independent learning. We as a student body feel that the decision being made, without consultation of students, teachers, and parents, is unfair to be made by people who have not and will not experience a complete day of virtual confrences while trying to learn. We hope you can see there are better options than the proposed plan. Thank you for your time and consideration.
