With new Sbunified schedule students and staff have a 30 minute lunch period. We are asking to go back to the previous 45 minute lunch for many reasons. Parents,teachers, and security have expressed concern on students being in such a rush that is creating a dangerous environment for students and others. Students are driving faster, running through parking lots, and running around campus in order to be on time for classes. 30 minutes is not enough time for students to even get to their cars and leave, or wait in lines at cafeterias. With extended classes students and faculty are also expressing that the break time is not long enough after sitting through 3 hours of class in the morning. Simply taking off 5 minutes off every class and adding it to lunch It will eliminate this problem and result in a safer happier district.
