Two years ago, Liberty Renewables began the project to install up to 26 industrial sized wind turbines on the hills of Naples, South Bristol, and Springwater, NY. The turbines would tower 650 feet above the hills they are sited on. The Russet Ridge Wind Project would dominate our countless vistas, thus spoiling one of the main attractions that draw visitors to our region of the Finger Lakes. Turbines on the Bristol Hills would no doubt negatively affect our tourism which plays a huge part in our village and town's economy and businesses, not to mention compromise the irreplaceable environment.

As of late, some properties in Naples and Springwater have signed leases with the turbine company. Construction has not begun because Liberty Renewables must now get properties surrounding the leased lands to sign their own leases that will give them access to build roads, infrastructure, etc. 

If this beautiful area is home to you, if you love to come visit here in any season, or if you simply enjoy a journey to Naples during the Fall for the grape pie, PLEASE sign our petition and SAY NO TO WIND TURBINES on the hills of the towns of Naples, South Bristol and Springwater, NY!
