Say NO to the construction of "Project Tango" AI data center in Palm Beach County
The Issue
"Project Tango," a massive AI Data Center that plans to cover over 200 acres with buildings reaching up to seven stories high. The sheer scale of this project, which will encompass nearly 4 million square feet of building space, poses a substantial threat to the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents like me and the countless others in our community.
The proximity of this development to homes and the elementary school located just 1000-1200 feet from the site is deeply concerning. The potential negative impacts on our mental and physical health cannot be overstated. The constant noise, and the certainty of air and water pollution from its operation are serious threats that we cannot afford to ignore. Our electricity and water rates will rise. Nothing good will come of this for Palm Beach County residents and the problems will ripple throughout the entire state of Florida.
Additionally, the environmental consequences of Project Tango are significant and far-reaching. The disruption to local agriculture and our ecosystems, the risk to wildlife, and the potential contamination of our air, water, and land are unacceptable. Our community's natural resources, our health, and our environment should not be compromised for the benefit of a commercial endeavor that will have limited local impact.
We urge the Palm Beach County Commission to carefully consider these impacts and explore alternative locations that do not impose such risks on residential communities and sensitive natural areas.
We call on local residents, environmentalists, and concerned citizens to stand together against this development. By signing this petition, you are voicing your support to protect our community and environment from the irreversible damage that Project Tango will cause. Please join us in demanding that the Commission not allow its construction. Sign this petition to make your voice heard.
