Many people are not aware of the health risks associated with living near these facilities. Our health and the health of our environment should come first. Minkar Solar(the builders of this facility) are not concerned about that. This is not a local company. They have claimed to have talked to landowners and that is a lie.

What are the Health Risks Living Near A Solar Farm? EMF(Electromagnetic Field) Poisoning. The scientist at the WHO (World Health Organization) believe that EMFs can damage the body’s cells, affect oxygen levels, and cause the nervous system to overreact to stimuli. Cancer may occur with high levels of EMF exposure. Children and small animals are more susceptible. Other symptoms may include:

Sleep problems including insomnia, headaches, hair loss, fertility complications, depression and depressive symptoms, fatigue and lethargy, dysesthesia (a painful, often itchysensation), concentration problems, memory recall issues, dizziness, irritability, loss of appetite, restlessness and anxiety, nausea, skin burning and tingling, nose bleeds, heart palpitations and more.

If that’s not enough for you healthwise, here are more negative effects to consider: MS has 80-85 species and sub species of plants and animals that are recognized as ENDANGERED! Most prevalent in Lamar County are gopher turtles and woodpeckers. Extinctions have increased to due negative human actions. Thousands of species die each year because crucial habitats are destroyed and polluted! How is this progress and clean energy when it causes so much destruction??

Noise and light pollution. The panels emit a humming noise and farms are brightly lit causing sleep disruption at night. They also emit heat. If you’re close to them and the breeze blows just the right way, you will feel it!  The negative effects this will have on our flora and fauna are untold. This destroys local wildlife and ecosystems. The panels can kill insects, birds and other creatures as a result of emf. These panels have been known to catch fire and that causes a hazard the closer they are to residential areas! Solar panels generate 300 times more toxic waste per unit of energy than nuclear power plants! The making of batteries (Search Cobalt Mining in Congo) and disposal of lithium batteries is toxic. Rainwater washes many of these toxins out of the fragments of the solar modules over time. These toxins leech into the water table and contaminate pristine creeks, ponds and swamps. This includes your “drinking water.” Solar Farms are unsightly and with them wanting to use 1,694 acres of land, chances are it will be in your backyard! Is that what you want to look at and be affected by? Not only will you not want to look at it, but when you decide to move nobody will want to buy your property because they won’t want to look at it either!
