Say No to Plastic!

The Issue

A large amount of plastic waste gets thrown out in the oceans of our planet. This increasing number is very detrimental as the lives of many wildlife marine animals are at stake. Around 80% of the items found in the ocean are either plastics or other artificial polymer materials (Fossi, et al., 2020). As a result, many sea animals often mistake these floating items as prey leading to severe health consequences due to ingestion.

Hence, an action must be taken to solve this problem. If nothing is done, this can entirely disrupt the ocean ecosystem with little to no chance of possibly reversing the effects. In order to do this, we must stop buying plastic products altogether. We should instead choose alternatives that are made of sustainable materials and have eco-friendly packaging. Through this boycott campaign, we can stop this predicament from getting worse. Additionally, this can also influence companies to make a switch towards more sustainable approaches in terms of their product management.

By signing this petition, you are agreeing to conveying a message to this companies that it is impertinent to switch from producing their products with plastic to biodegradable materials.
