The development proposal at 32 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach threatens one of our community’s most iconic and beloved locations. Disguised as an “affordable housing” initiative, the project offers just one discounted unit—a token gesture used to justify extra luxury floors and bypass planning rules.

⚠️ This is not genuine affordability. It’s a loophole designed to override established policies and community safeguards, undermining the integrity of Bondi’s planning framework.

📏 The Land and Environment Court has already ruled that this site must respect a 12.5-metre height limit. That decision was made to preserve Bondi’s character, scale, and coastal charm. Approving this proposal would set a dangerous precedent - one where legal rulings and community values are cast aside in favour of profit and high-density development.

👵 What about the residents of Astra? Just metres from the proposed site, Astra is home to a cherished community of elderly residents - many of whom have lived in Bondi for decades. This development threatens their peace, safety, and access to light, air, and views. These are not just buildings. They are people’s homes, and their wellbeing must not be sacrificed for developer gain.
