The Ministry is in receipt of a request for a Minister’s Zoning Order to facilitate four residential towers (ranging from 30 to 42 storeys) at 1635 Lawrence Avenue West in the City of Toronto.

This intersection is already one of the most congested locations in the City of Toronto. It does NOT need 4 residential towers ranging from 30-42 storeys. Community Consultation is required. I believe that community consultation is a fundamental component of any development process to address concerns about density, infrastructure, and community impact.

Additionally, the timing of this request and corresponding comment period fall during an election when the local MPP decided not to seek re-election.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED, ask the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to not grant the request for an MZO.
