Say no to Islamic Refugees in South Africa

Say no to Islamic Refugees in South Africa
The Issue
South Africa is facing an unprecedented economic turmoil, with unemployment rates soaring to 33.2% in 2025, according to Statistics South Africa, and a large portion of the population living below the poverty line. In light of these challenges, the recent move to welcome Palestine refugees—many of whom adhere to Islam, a religion that does not belong in our diverse yet predominantly Christian and traditional African society—poses a significant strain on our already overburdened resources.
The South African government is already grappling with inadequate funding for essential services such as healthcare, education, and social welfare. Introducing new populations without the means to adequately support them could potentially lead to increased tension, cultural clashes, and further economic decline. We need a strategic and sustainable plan before any further settlements are considered, ensuring that both current residents and newcomers can adequately be provided for.As South Africans, we urge the government to prioritize the needs of its citizens who are facing severe hardship. Before taking in additional individuals, especially from ideologies and faiths like Islam that clash with our national identity and values, we need comprehensive policies that secure economic stability, improve living conditions, and assure the well-being of all South Africans.
Only when we have established a solid foundational base that can actually support refugee intake should we proceed with resettlement programs.Join us in urging our leaders to reconsider current refugee policies and ensure they align with our national capabilities, cultural preservation, and current economic situation.
Sign this petition to voice your concern and advocate for a more sustainable and thoughtful approach to refugee settlement in South Africa—one that protects our heritage from foreign influences that do not belong here. Let’s work together to create a future where South Africans thrive and can sustainably aid others in their journey for a better life.
