Keep our neighborhood residential!

The City of Palm Bay has posted a public notice to consider turning the SW corner of St. Andre and Degroodt into a Dollar General. Please help me oppose this action!

Our neighborhood is a quiet residential community. Most residents in this area have chosen to live here for the almost-country living. Our roads were recently paved and now we see children outside daily riding bikes and scooters. Not only would this become hazardous for the children, it would be positioned on an intersection that is already pretty dangerous due to being on a curve. Many neighbors have chickens and gardens that would be affected by the trash and pollution that comes with having a retail building. We currently have three other locations within a five mile radius. Lastly, we have well water in this area. Would water lines have to be run in this area? The residents do not want to incur that cost. 

The zoning board meets on May 3. I will be presenting signatures at that time. Please sign this petition if you are opposed to having a commercial building put in the middle of our beautiful residential neighborhood!!
