Saving Our Animals

The Issue

My fiance and I recently moved to Anne Arundel County, Maryland. We were so excited to take part on our new adventure and combine our households. One thing that really became a part of who we were as a couple is our passion and love for animals. We thought that with our new huge yard we could FINALLY live a dream we both had of having a small backyard farm. So we did it! We built a 70x21 ft enclosure as soon as we got the keys to the house! We started our adventure. We are proud parents of 10 hens, 7 ducks, 2 goats, and one mighty miniature Cubalaya Roo! Our animals are quite the spoiled bunch. Of course, I cannot just feed them plain old feed, I have to make sure they all get "treat" day at least 3x/week. Also our babies are not just confined to the enclosure. The birds roam freely everyday and by the time the sun goes down they are happy to put themselves to bed in their enclosure where we then lock them in safely away from any praying foxes. Although our yard itself is surrounded by privacy fencing where they roam.  The goats also get weekly walks on a leash around the neighborhood which they LOVE. Recently, the county told us we are not permitted to have our animals. As you can see in the photos I have attached, these are not just animals to us. They are genuinely our babies. Please help by supporting us in pushing back. These animals are not mi
