Florida is a hurricane hot spot. With hurricanes, comes evacuations and having to leave your home. After Hurricane Ian, thousands of pets were left alone in homes for days, even weeks. 

Currently, Florida only has a House Bill (705), which only covers that all evacuation shelters during Hurricanes must take in household pets. 

We are wanting to have a more inclusive and covered bill, taking lead after Louisianas bill made after Hurricane Katrina. This would make Florida more pet inclusive during the Hurricane season, especially those who are disabled and rely on service animals.
