On Monday, June 26th, 2023, the Future of Curling in Windsor-Essex Committee delivered to the City Clerk's office a list of over 2,300 signatories sharing a unified concern over the future of Curling in Windsor-Essex if the Roseland facility were to be torn down.
Since launching the petition this past March, the City has heard the concerns of its citizens and this committee and responded by setting up an online survey and holding a public forum for the community to express their concerns and needs.
However, we are not done. The committee wants to see added to the report to council the overwhelming number of citizens who want to see the Roseland Curling facility remain intact through this petition. We are fighting to save the six sheets of ice at Roseland that serve more than 400 curlers in the Windsor-Essex region!
