Save Woodseaves: Say no to 111 new homes

The Issue

Woodseaves is a small, beautiful, close-knit village we all love.

Right now, one landowner has submitted three planning applications that would add 111 new homes – and the plans show even more could follow.

The adopted Local Plan (still the law) says Woodseaves should grow by no more than 12 % over 20 years – that’s roughly 36 homes in total.

These three applications alone would mean a 37 % increase – more than three times what the village is allowed.

That is not sustainable. It would:

•  Overload our primary school (already 70 % full)

•  Collapse healthcare at Eccleshall surgery (already struggling)

•  Worsen flooding and sewage problems (the treatment works is at 90–95 % capacity)

•  Put dangerous extra traffic on our narrow lanes

•  Destroy the peaceful, rural views and character that make Woodseaves special

We have already taken our fair share of new housing.

Woodseaves says ENOUGH.

We call on Stafford Borough Council to REFUSE all three current applications – and any future applications from the same landowner that would push us even further over the legal limit.

The more names we get, the stronger our voice.

Please sign and share widely – let’s protect our village together.

Application numbers:

25/40683/OUT (100 dwellings Dicky's Lane)

25/41473/PIP  (9 dwellings Land East Of Old House Farm Lodge Lane)

25/41476/PIP (2 dwellings Old house farm lodge)

Thank you
