Update: Unfortunately the town council decided to approve the budget without funding for Wonder universe. they acknowledged the huge show of community support "unlike anything seen before" and there is a possibility of a budget amendment in the future. In the mean time this will not close the museum but now it's up to us as the community to step in financially so they can focus on continuing to excel.

The Town of Christiansburg is considering nolonger financially supporting Wonder Universe based on their most up to date budget proposal to be voted on next Tuesday, June 13.

This would be a huge blow to Wonder Universe, as TOC has been a major financial contributor to the organization, contributing $25,000 in 2023 and $20,000 in 2022. If you are able, please consider writing a letter or email to the town council telling them how the museum has impacted your family and asking the council to continue offering community support funding to Wonder Universe and sign this petition.
