Save Visit Tuolumne County

The Issue

If you know anyone who relies on tourism for income, you’ll want to sign this petition to renew Visit Tuolumne County’s contract to continue to provide destination marketing and management services for Tuolumne County.

Visit Tuolumne County (VTC) is entirely funded by taxes generated and collected by lodging businesses in Tuolumne County.  Residents do not have to pay for VTC.

VTC is a non-profit mutual benefit corporation with a mission of service - not profit - solely dedicated to Tuolumne County’s tourism economy.  VTC is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors with deep roots in the community and is routinely audited for financial efficiency.

VTC’s efforts are on track to continue to grow travel spending in Tuolumne County to well over $250,000,000, saving the average Tuolumne County household nearly $1,000 in taxes annually.

VTC has been a trusted partner to Tuolumne County for 40 years and has never been better or made a greater impact to the economy, supporting tourism drivers throughout every district and developing the most desirable tourism markets. VTC’s many accomplishments deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

Here is the link to their Annual Report.

  • Any limits to VTC’s tourism marketing budget will result in limits to County income, as has been seen time and time again in other markets.

Please sign in support of continuing VTC’s funding as is, with no caps or cuts, so they can continue to generate more income for County services & infrastructure, create jobs, and support local businesses.
