Who is impacted with the termination of Tumblr Live?
The main people that will be affected with the cancelation of Tumblr live, would be every streamer that has been logging in consistently since January of 2023. With a large portion of streamers and chatter building a community within the Tumblr Live, now having to move to another app like MeetMe or POF due to this cancelation. Some streamers and chatters have put hours of their life engaging with the Tumblr Lives in the past year. Along with most of the user base on Tumblr using it as their main social media as well, leaving the users with no app to migrate to.
What will happen to the user of Tumblr Live during a shut down?
If Tumblr Live shuts down on January 24, 2024 it will leave a hole of displacement within a newly founded community. From the streamers who have been providing daily live streams, and the chatters that give back their gifts and life energy with engagement. There is a live community on the Tumblr app with engagement that is now being shut down within only a year of its creation, it did not have enough time to fully see the potential with its content creators/watchers. The possibility of Tumblr Live could only increase with more time and creators joining the app, it needs to have a full development cycle.
What is the end result of a Tumblr Live's cancelation?
This cancelation of Tumblr Live, will lead to a community being fully exiled from the app and their supporters they have made from being on Tumblr Live. That is why this is with great importance, that Tumblr gives their creators a chance to continue in a newly developed format of content creation. There is endless opportunities for the company of Tumblr and the user base while the live space is constantly evolving. Without a live section to tune into it will be a huge hit to the engagement and monetary gain that bloggers and viewers are receiving from having a way to immediately interact with their supporters on a personal level. The Tumblr Live community deserves to have a chance to continue to grow with these opportunities that were not present in the core of Tumblr blogs.
