Kirklees Council want to close Tolson Museum, against the will of Huddersfield residents.

Kirklees  Council currently have no plans for the building's future if they continue with their plans to close Tolson Museum.

Leigh Tolson gifted Ravensknowle Hall to Huddersfield over 100 years ago in memory of his 2 nephews, brothers Robert Tolson & James Tolson, who were killed in First World War.

Tolson Museum homes industrial history, including the manufacturing of textiles and road vehicles. Most importantly Seth Lister Mosley's stunning bird collection has Tolson as its natural home.
