FIND ANOTHER PLACE FOR A SKATE PARK WHICH DOESN'T DESTROY THIS NATURAL ASSET AND COTTESLOE'S HISTORY

We thank all those Cottesloe locals and nature lovers for their fantastic show of support last Sunday 12 December. Nearly 100 concerned locals gathered on the foreshore in the sunshine to express their anger with the Council which proposes to destroy this last remnant vegetation in Cottesloe, home to the purple-backed fairy wren, the spotted scrub wren, the shingle-back lizards, the other 19 bird species, the butterflies and the insects who all call this home.

John Black's granddaughter,(below centre, holding visor) took centre stage to show her disgust with the Council for planning to destroy the dune park which was named in memory of her grandfather who was a well-respected long serving Mayor from 1932 - 1935.

We need your support to continue this fight to save this park for the wildlife and the enjoyment of future generations.
