WE HAD A FANTASTIC TURN OUT  IN COTTESLOE TO SAVE THE JOHN BLACK DUNE PARK FROM DESTRUCTION

We made a great impact, thanks to all of you who gave up your Sunday morning to support the Friends of John Black Dune Park. We couldn't have done it without you. 

It was so exciting to see babies, children, dogs, the young, the not so old, and most importantly John Black's granddaughter, gather together, all determined to save one of last remnant dunes in Cottesloe, its precious ecosystem, and the memory of our great war-time Mayor. 

We must keep fighting the Cottesloe Council to save this precious asset for the future. Once gone, it is gone forever, and then where will the purple-backed fairy wren, and the brown spotted scrub wren find protection? 

WE MUST KEEP UP THE PRESSURE AND ASK THE COUNCIL TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE SITE FOR A SKATE PARK, ONE WHICH WON'T DESTROY AN INCREASINGLY RARE GREEN OPEN SPACE AND A COMPLEX BIODIVERSITY
