Save the Wolves of Norway!- Most people are wrong about them.
The Issue
We are year six students in the British International School of Stavanger, these past weeks we have been doing an Exhibition inspired by the "Earthshot prize." Through our research we have came along some problems with the wolves of Norway as they are in the critically endangered category for Norway, even though they oppose no threat to us. We have gathered some information for us to show you that wolves have no threat and can live in Norway. So please read on.
As talking about wolves there is only 51-52 wolves left in Norway. Denmark's land area covers around 23,872 km² which can hold around 80-100 wolves\10 packs. But compared to Norway with 385,207km² Denmark still has more wolves. There is no reason wolves couldn't repopulate Norway. In 2017, 27 wolves out of the approximately 82 of Norway had been killed which is very saddening for me.
Wolves have almost no threat to humans in Norway. The last recorded attack on a human in Norway happened when a little girl was killed by wolves, but guess what, this was in the year "1800" which is a long time ago.
Another reason that wolves have no threat to humans in Norway, (More for the farmers.) Is that 80% of the sheep in Norway die from natural causes. Only 2% of sheep have been killed by wolves of Norway,
In my opinion there is no reason that wolves couldn't repopulate in Norway, so please sign our petition and take action for the wolves.
