The Issue
The Scottsdale Pavilions Rock n’ Roll car show is the longest running show in the United States, and has been free to all participants and attendees since day 1.
A new show management company “AZ Events Group” has been hired by DeRito, the property management company. They specialize in hot air balloon shows, and they know nothing about the AZ car culture.
They are tasked with monetizing the show, and opted to implement a monthly fee to have cruisers park beginning Dec 28th. They want to also implement BMX shows, live bands, and “auto tours,” none of which interest attendees.
This petition is to propose they leave the oldest continuous running show 100% free to cruisers and attendees, and raise money via a sponsorship approach.
